Brand Yon-Ka
Yon-Ka was founded in France in 1954 by Charles, Cecile and Ernest Muhletaler, the pioneers of aroma and phyto therapy. They had a true passion for plants and essential oils (aromatherapy). To learn more about the functions of plants, they worked together with doctors, pharmacists and scientists at that time.
Their research leads them to a breakthrough, namely the discovery of “Quintessence”. A unique combination of the 5 essential oils: lavender, geranium, rosemary, cypress and thyme. This unique combination has led to their skin care line Yon-Ka.
Meaning of Yon-Ka
“Yon” is the name of a fast-flowing river filled with purifying water – In French, “Yon” is pronounced the same as “ion”, an electrically charged atom. “Ka” in Egyptian mythology, “Ka”, is the eternal part of the human soul that dwells in every being.
The name Yon-Ka expresses a dimension of vitality, beauty, regeneration, energy, holism, zen and wellness.
